The Hermans Throo Osmosis vs The End of the World, Vol. 2 (NYR)

Like the first volume of the Hermans Throo Osmosis reunion album, Volume 2 was recorded during the pandemic.

After the release of the first volume, Ron moved to Utah, I moved from Paris to California, and some other things went on in everyone’s lives, so the final mastering has been delayed a bit.

But I just couldn’t wait to share what we came up with, so I thought I’d give everyone a sneak preview of the album. These are the pretty-close-to-final mixes. It’s going to be EPIC when it’s all mastered.

Among my favorites on this volume are Chris’s song “Yer New Man” which he originally wrote for Mt. Whateverest. I think they even recorded a version, which is rad. I also find Anthony’s plaintive and sad doo wop song “Thank You, Goodnight” really touching. I also love the way Ron mixed the various solos in “I Don’t Wanna Write Songs No More.”
